Artists Statement:
I paint mainly to reconnect with the environment in which I find myself. For example a lot of my paintings have been inspired by the Kimberley region .
The Kimberley is such a diverse and inspirational backdrop, with a never ending reservoir of pallets.
I don’t work with sketches or a plan, I work mainly from memory and what was going through my mind at the time. When I paint, my paintings don’t usually
reveal itself until almost the end of the process - it is a constant re-evaluation of what is on the canvas.
Bio: I’m a Radiographer and Sonographer by trade. This allows me to understand movement and form.
I studied art at Cofa and the Colour and Design School. I have been painting for 15 to 20 years and have exhibited
at the Mosman artists, and have been a finalist in the Ewart art prize 2019 and 2020. Wollongong Art prize 2019 I
was 2nd prize. I also have had an exhibition at the Willoughby art Centre.
