Tensions arise between two unknown places. Shapes and shading, cutting the silence. These faces become worlds and worlds become strokes until nothing is left but the lines on its face and the rushing water. About the Artist: Prudence Illingworth is an emerging artist based in Melbourne on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Prudence’s artwork is about feeling. Ideas are born from a place of intuition with minimal planning and they manifest quickly as embodied acts of catharsis, repetition, and restoration. Whether shown as traditional-style paintings or conceptual sculptural installations, Prudence’s work is innately thought-provoking, personal, and expansive.
