We present a delightful and virtuosic collection of Baroque chamber music for winds around the theme of Tafelmusik or Musique de Table, a term used since the mid-16th century for light-hearted music played at feasts and banquets. Telemann’s compositions by this title, comprising over 4 hours of ensemble music, possess such varying styles and instrumental combinations that they are often likened to a cornucopia of culinary pleasures.
