ARTIST BIOS

We are five young professionals, friends and colleagues, who enjoy playing chamber music together.

Our ensemble comprises of musicians based both locally as well as interstate, connected through

tertiary studies, orchestral work, world travels, chance encounters and long-standing friendships. We

are united by both our personal connections and a collective musical spirit.

Both Jonathan Henderson and Nicola Bell forged their careers in Europe. Jonathan studied in

Brisbane, Freiburg and Geneva, and from 2012 – 2019 held the position of Principal Flute of the

Estonian National Opera Orchestra, having also performed with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra

(Finland), Aldeburgh World Orchestra (England), Australian Chamber Orchestra and Luzern Festival

Academy (Switzerland). Upon returning to Australia, he was appointed flute soloist with the Southern

Cross Solists (Brisbane).

Music and freelances with the Opera Australia and Sydney Symphony Orchestras.
