Sit with Me

Finding comfort in isolation, the bunny became my muse. What was purchased as an easter gift became a friendly companion during lonely days. The bunny sat where placed and did object to maintaining the pose when asked to sit for hours at a time. Using a limited palette and muted tones the bunny appears familiar and friendly. There is a sense you could take your place on the chair and sit with me. Currently living on the NSW Central Coast. I enjoy using a variety of methods to create artworks, including printmaking, painting with oil or acrylic, using mixed media, drawing, and making cyanotype photograms. Experimentation and research are large part of my process. Constantly inspired by my surroundings, whether that be everyday household items, mountain ranges or the vast open spaces of the outback. In my artwork it is my desire to capture a moment, evoke emotion that resonates within another creating common ground.
