Josie and the Emeralds is a critically acclaimed chamber group performing music from medieval to modern, including compositions by Artistic Director Brooke Green. A viol consort, with soprano Josie Ryan, the group expands according to their diverse and innovative programs.

About the event
For this program we trace the evolution of French courtly music from the early chanson of the renaissance to the grand opera of the high baroque. We also feature virtuosic works for solo and duo bass viols by Marin Marais and Monsieur de Sainte-Colombe.
