When Curator, Allan Baptist OAM, saw the submissions, he commented, ''This is going to be an exhibition of great promise. The works are some of the most inspirational you will see in regional Australia." At the end of the exhibition he concluded it was “the best regional art show I’ve seen in all of Australia.”

Judge Natalia Ottolenghi Bradshaw said it was “fantastic, a very high-quality show; installation superb”.
Judge Therese Kenyon remarked how good the Art Prize Exhibition was – especially for its first year – relative to many she’s curated and judged in the city and around NSW.
One buyer wrote, “One of the best exhibitions I have seen for a long time. I am so very happy with my impulse buy and could have been tempted with many others if I had room in my house.”

When asked in an exit survey what we could do better next time, the largest percentage (29%) of the over 1,000 visitors said, “don’t change a thing” with comments like “1st class” / “fabulous” / "great show” / “great work” / “professionally presented”.
