Visual Arts in the Valley and its signature biennial, Kangaroo Valley Art Prize, aims to bring the best in contemporary visual arts to Kangaroo Valley and to provide a professional exhibition and online sales gallery for established and emerging artists from throughout NSW and nationally to show and sell their work.

Our mission is to become a major biennial regional art prize and exhibition.  As part of this mission, we will continue to provide for local Kangaroo Valley artists through a curated Salon of Local Artists.  Overall, we aim to bring an enjoyable art experience for members, the local community, those who love art, visitors and tourists from throughout NSW drawn to stunning Kangaroo Valley.

Over the October long-weekend of 2020, we will again host the biennial Kangaroo Valley Art Prize & Exhibition.  Please mark your diaries.

The 2020 Kangaroo Valley Art Prize & Exhibition will welcome Australian artists and original art works across the range of mediums, styles and subject matters.  We encourage the submission of contemporary works including but not limited to the use and mixing of unconventional materials; challenges to existing traditional systems and boundaries by working with a range of contemporary concepts and subjects; and cultural dialogue that concerns larger contextual frameworks such as personal and cultural identity, family, community and ethnicity.  We welcome the best emerging and established artists from throughout NSW and across Australia.

As well as significant prize money, all selected work will again be available for direct sale during the four-day Exhibition and subsequently on-line through the Visual Arts in the Valley Gallery.

We look forward to seeing you in 2020.
