Supporters' Program
Kangaroo Valley Arts Festival is a not-for-profit organization. We strive to present high quality events; however there are significant financial challenges in endeavouring to achieve this.
We are keen to support and promote music and art through both commissioning new work and providing worthwhile prizes for sculpture, art and photography. KVAF is also committed to providing free events that will enable everyone in the community to have access to the Festival experience. For the 2009 Festival there will be a free didgeridoo workshop for kids, authors’ readings, an organ recital in the heritage-listed Church of the Good Shepherd, and Sculpture Live – an opportunity to watch sculptors at work.
In addition, we have the goal of buying a concert grand piano - an essential feature of a festival. Relying on borrowing pianos has quality, transport and cost challenges.
Arts in the Valley Supporters’ Program is a key way of enabling all this to happen. Money raised by the Supporters’ Program will only be used for:
- prizes for visual arts exhibitions
- commissioning new works
- free events to enable more people to experience the festival
- achieving the dream of having a permanent concert grand piano
We encourage you to join the Supporters’ Program.
