Murcutt, Glenn

Glenn Murcutt AO has been a practising architect for over 40 years. His many projects built include private residences as well as public buildings. He has taught at universities in Australia, USA, PNG, Finland, Denmark, Ireland, Mexico and Slovenia and addressed architects and students in some 30 countries.

Glenn’s work has been published in many international architectural journals and included in Australian travelling international exhibitions. It is the subject of eight books and three TV programs. Space does not allow us to name all his 60 Australian and 24 international awards and honours. They include no less than 30 RAIA New South Wales/Northern Territory Architecture/Merit awards, Honorary Doctorates from the Universities of Sydney, New South Wales and Technology, Sydney and Honorary Fellowships in Britain, USA, Canada, Finland, Taiwan, and Singapore. Glenn has won the Gold Medal from The Australian Institute of Architects, the Gold Medal from The American Institute of Architects, the US’s highest architectural honour, and the Pritzker Prize, considered the ‘Nobel’ for architecture internationally.
